NASHVILLE
NIGHTS & DIXIE DAYS |
|
|
Sunday 6th April 2008 - 7.30pm |
|
Whether you are a fan of "Old Country"
and the likes of Johnny Cash, Don Williams
& Patsy Cline, or "New Country"
and the likes of Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson
& Shania Twain, this is the show for
you. Led by Neil Sands, the Nashville Nights
All Star Band & The Fabulous Dixie Dolls
will take you on a non-stop journey of over
two hours of brilliantly performed country
classics. It is a show with no stars - the
music is the star and all of us in the show
are blessed to be able to perform it every
night. They don't try to imitate the stars,
they just sing their hearts out performing
the music that they love, and hopefully
get you to join in with them as much as
possible. Country music is more popular
than ever and this show leads the way in
performing the widest range of country music
to the widest possible audience.

Mick Foster and Tony Allen have been singing
and playing together for 30 years. During
this time they have performed their way
around the world a few times, filmed over
a dozen hit videos and recorded 18 gold
award-winning albums - not bad for a couple
of Irish boys! The duo started back in 1975,
making their living playing small cabaret
venues around Ireland. The success of their
first hit record in 1978 A Bunch of Thyme
took the boys all over the world. Since
then, Foster & Allen have gone from
strength to strength, releasing more consecutive
gold and platinum status albums in the UK
than any other artist, a track record which
has been beaten so far only by The Rolling
Stones. (back

First come the stories with unplugged music
of the past, then comes the plugged-in music
of now! They continue to play to sell out
theatre audiences, storm university gigs
like nobody else can, and are in demand
worldwide. Always in huge demand, Dave sums
them up by saying 'We're like pie and mash,
simple and very London!' (back
