Abba Gold are proud to say that they sing
and play live at every show, whether that
is a 30 minute or full 2 hour performance.
Of course they create that Abba sound with
all your favourites plus those long forgotten
album tracks that only the true Abba fans
will remember. All costumes in their tribute
band have been meticulously recreated. The
Abba Gold show includes a minimum of 8 costume
changes, really illuminated by their fabulous
lighting engineers using pyrotechnics. They
have their own sound engineers on tour with
them to re-create that special Abba sound.

The Searchers are one of the few British
pop groups who have maintained their position
at the top for well over 40 years. Second
only to the Beatles as Liverpool's finest
60's group, and the most underrated British
band to emerge during the merseybeat era.

Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th June 2008 -
7.30pm |
| Starring
Eric Potts (Diggory Compton from Coronation
Street) as Sir Lancelot Spratt, Grace Adams-Short
(from Big Brother and winner of Sky One's
Cirque de Celebrite) and Damian Williams.
Doctor in the House was one of the most well
loved comedy series of the 20th century. The
original books by Richard Gordon not only
spawned several successful plays penned by
Ted Willis but also a series of films and
a TV sitcom that lasted over a decade in the
1970s. The film version of Doctor in the House
was the most successful film in Great Britain
in 1954 and starred Dirk Bogarde, James Robertson
Justice, Kenneth More, Donald Sinden and a
young Joan Sims. This production follows the
inexperienced young medical student Simon
Sparrow as he begins his five-year internship
at St. Swithin’s Teaching Hospital where
he continually runs afoul of the irascible
head surgeon Sir Lancelot Spratt. His social
life is spiced up when Sparrow is taken under
the wings of two student repeaters –
Tony Grimsdyke and John Evans, who’ve
flunked their prelims and are seeking a second
chance. The humour is very similar to that
of the famous Carry On films and as such has
delighted audiences all over the world for
generations now. This brand new production
promises to be no exception as we follow the
off duty lives of the medical students –
their happy triumphs and brave failures, love
affairs and parties. Starring Eric Potts,
best known as the baker Diggory Compton in
the hit ITV soap Coronation Street, as Sir
Lancelot Spratt, Grace Adams-Short, who will
be best remembered for her appearances in
Big Brother 6 and when she went on to win
Sky One’s Cirque de Celebrite in 2006,
as Janet and the ever popular comic actor,
Damian Williams, as Simon Sparrow, this is
comic nostalgia at its very best and is sure
to be as well-loved as the original books,
films and television episodes have become.
Matinee
performance on Saturday at 2.30pm.

LES
MISERABLES - SCHOOL EDITIONS CANCELLED!!! |
|
|
Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd June 2008 |
|
Broadway’s legendary musical has been
specially adapted to meet the needs of young
performers. This author-approved edition
has been abridged to a running time of just
over two hours, while carefully maintaining
the integrity of one the greatest musicals
ever written. This epic story recounts the
struggle against adversity in 19th century
France. Imprisoned for stealing a loaf of
bread, petty thief Jean Valjean is released
from his 19-year term and not only becomes
and honest man, but the mayor of a prosperous
town and a loving adoptive father - violating
his parole in the process. The relentless
Inspector Javert, who makes a decent life
for Valjean impossible, consequently pursues
him. Only years later, after Valjean proves
his mettle during a bloody student uprising
and saves the life of a young man hopelessly
in love with Valjean’s adopted daughter,
does the ex-convict finally feel fully redeemed.
Times of performances vary: Friday
at 8pm, Saturday at 11am, 3pm & 8pm
and Sunday at 1pm & 5pm. (back
